Journey of Ordinary

I'm Levent Şimşek, and Journey of Ordinary is my wedding photography. I'm based in Berlin and I work in a documentary way: I don't run a long list of poses, I watch what happens and photograph it. Most of my weddings are small. A lot of them start at a Berlin Standesamt with a handful of friends and carry on to a long lunch, a garden or a bar. Others are full days at venues around Brandenburg, or elopements somewhere else in Europe.

What I care about is that the photos still feel like your day when you look at them in twenty years. That means the people around you as much as the two of you: the friend who flew in, the parents meeting each other, the speeches nobody rehearsed.

I photograph civil ceremonies (2 hours) up to full days (10 hours), and I travel anywhere in Europe. Write to me with your date and place.
